I think I have surveyed all of the new issue services, concerning the Harrah's March Madness chips. The last one just posted in another thread and it sure sounded like he did not get any.

Three dealers got some. Amazing!!!

In the Archives Rene posted that the chips were released about 3AM. Andy reads the post and rushes to Harrah's. At 5AM he posts that he got 20. Andy got the only 20 that was in the cage. There was no limit on the amount of chips one person could buy.

One of the dealers offers Rene $625 for a rack of them. Rene counters with $800 for 1 rack or $1,500 for 2 racks. The dealer counters back with "Go Pound Salt."
Does anyone out there really think Rene would sell his entire allotment of 200 chips for a discounted price?

The sad part of this is no other new issue service can fill their customers orders.
I count 10 new issue services in LV. I have not counted Rene in this number. The 10 AVERAGE about 46 chips each, on every issue. I figure that is 460 LE collectors that can not get this chip, UNLESS!!!

You do the numbers.
10 people selling 46 chips each, average $8 = $138 profit for each dealer.
1 person selling 400 chips at $10 each = $2,000 profit.

I did not get one but it is not the 1st LV LE, I've missed, so no big deal. It does bother me, that I did not have the option to get it. It is sad that one persons greed got in the way of 460 fellow club members.
As far as Rene bashing goes, I do not want to hear it. I backed Rene when he was right and doing something for the hobby. I backed his show. The Fiesta backed his book. I let him come to my house with a zip drive and download a scan of every LE ever issued in LV (at the time) and scans of most NV LE's issued (at the time). If you are right, your right BUT if you are wrong, your wrong.

I believe Rene got something like 450 of this issue.
Harrah's is to blame for allowing this to happen.

This type of stuff was tried once before. The club members put the guy out of business without any type of organized effort. We all know what is right and what is wrong.

As far as Rene's charge on the FQ's 25¢ chips. I have seen two other dealers selling them besides the one he has been spreading rumors about for over 2 months.The NP $2.50's, I have no idea who got them. If I did know their names would be on the BB.
