A $1,700 chip just cost me less than $11 to mail.
If that same chip was sent First Class or Priority Mail, it would have cost me at least $18 for the insurance, alone, plus postage.
The best feature about mailing chips via USPS is
that they will insure high-end numismatic material
where no other service in the world insures
numismatic material.... and, if lost (virtually
impossible) or damaged, you need not file a claim
with your own insurance.
