If what has been stated regarding these chips is true, both the buyer and the casino are thinking and acting on short term objectives. Both parties may profit now, but will lose in the long term by driving collectors away from the LE market, causing bad relations with customers and potential customers and hurting the hobby.

Dealers and casinos must take care of their customers. I have heard the comment too frequently from collectors that they were taken advantage of when first entering our hobby. Now, as more experienced collectors, they will not buy from those dealers who treated them unfairly. Now that they are spending bigger bucks, but they are NOT spending with those who screwed them.

Those who deal with people honestly will profit in the long run. We have seen many short-termers come and go. Our hobby and club will continue to grow because we have many great members and dealers.

If someone is sitting on the vast majority of these chips, perhaps he would like to offer them to others at face value so that we all have the opportunity to add to our collections.
