The Chip Board Archive 04

These are NOT ivory chips.

I know. I'm the person who wholesaled them years
ago. They're made of a Celluloid-type material,
and though the inlay is a "true die-cut metal
inlay" (not an overlay as the Monaco pieces), it
is not an "O"

I kept an exampe that is in its original state of
preservation and the monogram on the obverse is an
interlaced, back-to-back "CC" where the
overlapping is easilly seen.

Though we have no idea as to where these
chips are from, we do know of other casinos that
used this material/style in 1920s France and Germany. Each piece carries its own serial number.

If you're out in the field and run across what you
think may be ivory, feel free to call me TOLL-FREE
at 1-800-844-3397, and I'll walk you through the
ID process. Leave at least one phone number in
case I'm not available, and I'll return your call.

I have a few pieces remaining
(with rim chips) at $10 each.
