Finally got back to some sunshine after the Chinook Winds chip show. I thought it was great. Coming down the coast I noted: the new hotel at the Mill (North Bend Oregon) is very nice looking and the casino is greatly improved. Smith River (3 miles South of the Oregon border) has greatly expanded, with a new restaurant and blackjack room. (Same chips). Elk Valley at Crescent City has expanded and remodelled (same chips). Cher-Ae Heights at Trinidad is under major expansion and renovation. It was dark when I got to Klamath and I was surprised when I pulled off the highway at Resighini that I could not see the golden Bears casino (rolling blackout?) I subsequently fund out that they have not only closed the casino, but have taken it down and shipped it out of the state! Red Fox at Laytonville and Black Bart at Willitts are now slots only, but with many of the better games. Black Bart does have a token.(1.00). These smaller places cannot afford table games unless they can get the tour busses to go there.
