Re: Slabbing - Response to a question

i have, in the past, sent coins to be graded to the grading[slabbing] services. the grading fee is only part of the price. they insist that you pay registered shipping and insurance both coming and going. so the actual cost for grading[slabbing] of one chip runs between $20-$25. is it really worth the extra money to fing out that the chip you have is a chip in 63, 65, or 67 condition. it is still only a chip. only my opinion. i know there will be people who disagree with me. but i think it is better to keep that extra $20-$25 in the hobby and not outside it. thank you for your time. steve
