Herbert Noble (HN hub in Steve's post) and Benny Binion were at all at war in the Dallas area.

The D-T Hub below that I posted a couple days ago as beloning to Ivy Miller has a little history with this war.

Ivy was a gunsel for Binion. He killed people.
Our great Texas historian Doc Finstuen sent me a story out of the Texas Monthly after I posted the scan below.

I just got the story and will post more after I absorb the information.
BUT, it sure looks like old Benny was not a nice guy in his Dallas days.
