Marv; I agree, your post didn't blame anyone... you simply asked a legitimate question. It was the follow-up posts that got my juices flowing... and their accusatory tone. Read them again, and tell me otherwise.

I don't know what the internal decisions of the Silver Strike Chapter are regarding this new award. I would assume that it will simply be called "Silver Strike Of The Year" presented by the Silver Strikers Chapter of CC & GTCC or something to that effect. I guess if anyone wishes to be part of that decision making and be able to vote for their favorite silver strike I would suggest that they apply for membership to the Silver Strikers Chapter.

As for your suggestion about a separate ballot for everyone in the club to nominate a Silver Strike.... I'll let the new club officers decide that one... but if someone asked for my personal opinion my response would be that it would not be a good idea. Here is my reasoning. To extend your idea further to the next logical conclusion, then the club should invite all club members to select the Las Vegas Chip Of The year.... the Reno Chip Of The Year ... or the Atlantic City Chip Of the Year, or the Riverboat Chip Of The Year. I think these things would be better left for the individual chapters to deal with, like the Silver Strikers have .... that's if there are any chapters left after the current controversy is resolved.<g>
