The configuration of the edge on the newer Hyatt Lake Tahoe $2.50 brass cores is not really "reeding", as that term is used in the coin hobby. The ridges run the other way, around the circumference of the chip. Here's a picture showing the old and new edges. Maybe call it "grooved edge"?
