Re: RENO TAHOE TRIP?
In Response To: RENO TAHOE TRIP? ()

Just got in last nite from the Palace LV show and congrats to Rene for the the best Superbowl show we have ever experienced. He must have done a lot of promotion since we met new local collectors on Saturday thanks to his wide publicity in town and casinos. We had a great time. My only discovery was the new LE $10 chip at the LV club which was only in poker pots...300 made...and I only got a few which were costly due to my Hold-up expertise....
Drove up 395 to Reno and Stayed over at Harrah's. No worry about snow since the roads were pretty clear but lot'sa snow on the ground up through Hawthorne. Roads are clear but snow scenes are beautiful. Some new Chinese New Year's chips avilable at the Silver Legacy and new Silver Strike for January with Wright Bros. plane that matches the chip from 2000 Jan. at the Reno Hilton. The town was pretty quiet. Harrah's is remodling the West tower and major work done in the casino with main cage moved etc. They need it.
With the Comstock, Riverboat, and Colonial casinos closed recently, I just don't know what that town is thinking to do for a revivial.
Have a good trip....Mel and LIsa
