Here we go, report of Jetonrun, Nice, France

We arrived late saturday afternoon in Nice, France. Stayed at Holiday Inn on Promenade Anglais, the boardwalk, weather was okay.
The only one still open is Casino Ruhl on Promenade Anglais. There is parking nearby.
Like in most French Casino's the tablegames only open at 8 pm. Slots can be played a lot earlier and you do not pay to get in to the slotroom. No dresscode there.
Now for the tablegames you need your passport pay for a daycard, about $10, and need to have a jacket and tie (but if you don't have a tie but still look chique you might slip in).
We went in and about 3 American roulette tables where in play and 3 French tables. 4 Black Jack tables and 1 Punto Banco where also in play. It still has the same interior as before and must be early 1950s or so. Nice palces to have a drink and relax.
Now at the French table I played there was this older gentleman who played roulette, nothing special, but he was blind. The croupier always call out the number which came out and they will place your jetons like you want them. When he won, the croupier just pushed the jetons in his hands. Nice to see and the older gentleman had a good time. You could see he was a regular player.
Now for the jetons and plaques not much new. I spoke to the chiefcashier and they confirm everything will be destroyed end of the year. But he did say they had some small B&G oval plaques of 50 FF made for a special event earlier last year or so. Their smallest oval (non negotional) plaque is normally 1000FF. I had one when I bought in it is same style only bigger and bright yellow. But that is for me too high to keep, maybe some off you would pay it as it is about $150. Some of you have the $500 jeton from Paris LV so...
Anyway played some roulette and had some fun.
Fred played black-jack and also had fun.
Have a look at the 50FF and 100FF jeton and the small 50FF jeton which I scanned both sides for you to see.

Kind regards,
