Today at the Palace Station show and after seeing literally thousands of nice collectible casino chips there, I stopped at the I.C.G. slabbers table,listened to their pitch, and then took a couple of their free samples of slabbed chips.
How dare them to steal the beauty and ruin the nice $1.00 Aladdin house chip they gave me by sealing it up in a cheap plastic coffin like that. To me, this slabbed item is no longer a collectible casino chip at all. There is just something missing from it now, and I wish it was the slab.
Anyone who has been up in arms over the ongoing slabbing issue,and now has seen first hand what the slabbing of chips really amounts to, must be ready to join in with the rest of us in the fight against this horrible proposed destruction to our hobby.
Just imagine going to a chip show and instead of notebooks and boxes of chips to rummage thru, there were only casino chips sealed in those damn cheap plastic slabs!!! It could, and will happen if this slabbing thing gets even a little foot hold.
Please; everybody join together now while we still have the opportunity to stop it before it starts. At this time they are only testing the water. lets show them that it is freezing cold.
Make a pledge to yourself to not have even one single slabbed chip in your collection.
