I've never bought liver from Mellisa's butcher, and I've never bought coins from Mellisa ... but you can bet your bottom chip that if Mellisa thinks that she is going to get into the slabbed chips business, there are close to 200 chippers who have pledged that they not going to buy any from her.... and that's what this slab controversy is all about.

Putting "The Pledge" aside for now ... virtually everyone who has posted on this subject, both on this bulletin board and on the club message board, have stated that they don't like slabbed chips and would not purchase any. Most everybody is in favor of "Education". Well, hopefully the Mellisa's of the world who are thinking about getting into slabbed chips are going to get an education.

Lots of folks who are NOT supporting the pledge for whatever reasons, still have said that the only way to stop slabbing from infiltrating our fine hobby is not to buy them.... and the problem will go away. Well here's your chance. The time is NOW to put up the wall .... not after companies like ICG have their foot in the door. We must do all we can to discourage them.... and THAT is what I meant when I posted, "tomorrow may be too late".
