I have an art policy through Allstate, my homeowners company. However, it is not for an adequate sum. Each year the company asks my agent to have me make photos of each chip. I respond by saying that if they will send me 6250 rolls of 24 pics or a photographer I will be happy to comply. Then they asked for a listing of my chips--which I more or less sent them--page after page. Two years ago they told my agent that they were dropping the coverage (some fella in nearby Utica had his coin collection insured; reported a burglary and theft; got reimbursed and a few weeks later his agent was watching a local antiques show and saw him display his "stolen" collect. Allstate is leary. You'll hear from a number of people with leads to companies that will insure the chips but it is not inexpensive.
