PRO-SLAB CHALLENGE: VALUE

Do you think slabbing a chip makes it more valuable and if so, why? Do you think the price difference between a slabbed chip and a real chip will be $10? Do you think that other factors not now in place in the unslabbed hobby will not effect price. Take the example of the $2.50 Poker Palace birthday chip as I understand it. A single entity was able to buy most of the issue of this ordinary LE and try to sell it to collectors for a premium $10. If they had made the investment to also slab these pieces don’t you think they would ask far more to make their investment back in a timely manner? Perhaps $30-$50? What would that do to the cost of the unslabbed PP snappers? Is this real chip value or merely increased cost? Here’s your chance to share your views on the value of slabbed chips.
