As I have said before, I am also opposed to the slabbing of chips. I won't leave the hobby because some one has started doing so, but I WILL NOT BUY SLABBED CHIPS.

Nothing good will come of slabbing. As far as the average collector is concerned, it will mean nothing but higher prices, just as it has for coins (which, of course, is the reason that some people would like to see slabbing catch on).

In fact, I'd like to see the club initiate a voluntary pledge for members to sign that they will not buy slabbed chips (I don't think we could reasonably make this mandatory). BUT WE SHOULD FIGHT THIS the only way that matters -- DO NOT BUY THE DAMN THINGS. ----- jim o\-S
