I'm a floor supervisor at the Horseshoe in Tunica Ms. Dice are put onto a table in sets of 5. As you know casinos have more than 1 craps game so this will tell the floor supervisor when a die does off the table which game the dice belongs on. This is very helpfull when 2 dice go of a game at the same time, from different tables. Dice are also numbered or scribed to help prevent someone from switching a good die with a loaded die. The dealers or boxperson can see that the dice match without having to manualy pick up and inspect the dice. Hope this helps.
