I picked up this little jewel earlier this week, and noticed a couple of things:

1) It doesn't say NCV - it indicates "Not Redeemable for Cash" (Note the spelling of Redeemable - on the chip it says "Reedemable"
2) It also say's "No Change Given"!

Interesting...
