Ever wonder about premium slot cards?

Was reading the current issue of "Atlantic City Insider" this morning and came accross the following article that explained the action needed to qualify for the Sands Platinum players card. Here's what one must do to qualify:

300 points in one day.... or 150 points per day tree times over three months. Slot players earn points at $20 per point (one point for every $20 of coin in). So a slot player can earn a three month platinum membership after $6,000 in action in one day. Most video poker machines award points at the rate of $35 per point, so a video poker player can earn the platinum membership after "only" $10,500 in action in one day.

Now you know why finding these abandoned coveted premium players cards on the casino floor have such an attraction for the slot card collector. I use the one in my collection just for the free parking privileges it offers.

I know; shame, shame. It's almost as bad as roulette harvesting.... <g> Hey Pat.... look what you've done to my reputation that was already in the tank!
