I don't know that much about the early Stingray Corvettes Pete, but from the picture on the chip, I think it'd be hard or impossible to positively identify the year of the model without seeing the rear window on the car. 1963 was the only year that Chevy made the car with a split down the middle of the rear window. If there were other minor body changes that I don't know about that are shown on the car on the chip, the person that emailed you could very well be right.
