Almost as good as calling it the three "R's", huh? <g> By the way, gambling is a VERY good way to learn arithmetic:

"Johnny walks into a casino with $1000, if his average bet on single-deck blackjack is $25, how much time will he have to spend there before his free buffet costs him that $1000 plus another $500 he got from the ATM?"

My personal favorite is people that go to the ATM for $20 at a time 4 or 5 times and they get charged $2 from the ATM and another $1.50 from their bank (a total of 17.5%). Heck, that's a better hold than roulette and probably Caribbean Stud also.
