Winning bid adjustments
In Response To: Re: Congratulations! What? ()

Hi Michael,

On a number of occasions, I've emailed the winning bidder on my eBay auctions telling them to send me less than the amount of their winning bid because I couldn't in good conscience accept the amount that they had bid. If the 2nd place bid was for more than what I told the winning bidder to send and I had more than one of the item, I made the same offer to sell them the item at that price to them too. Perhaps I'm a rare bird...... I hope not.....

I don't make my living selling stuff on eBay, but, a careless attitude about "buyer beware" wouldn't be the way I'd do business if it (eBay) were the way I made a living.
