I own too; new and cheap unfortunately

I bought the same set on eBay in April 1999. When I got them, I realized I paid too much. Ashamed to say how much. And then soon thereafter, I saw another set on eBay that went for much less than I had paid. The case is cheap. And the coloring, if it is enamel, it is a very poor enamel -- particularly on the white $1 chips, the "paint" does not stay on too well. Lesson: buying things you are not familiar with on eBay is a gamble of sorts.........I don't think they are very old, particularly by the construction of the case, especially the "satin" inside lining (which discolors), the cheap clasp and the corduroy material. They are interesting and worth keeping, but not an antique, etc.
