I'm not sure... I've seen the sun's effect on chips, like the one Gene posted, and the Harrah's N.O. (at the convention) and even a Resorts International (AC) chip - yet without looking at it in person, I wouldn't want to hazard an opinion...
One thing that makes me wonder that may be it isn't due to the sun, is since the edge inserts and base material haven't faded.. They look like the chip on the right!
It is also interesting that the chip doesn't have an UV marking... I wonder if Gene's Excalibur has an UV mark on it?
