Rember when the Gold Strike Inn (Boulder City area) had a majpor fire that destroyed the entire casino, but left the hotel intact?

Well guess what else was left intact? Last weekend when I stopped by the new Hacienda (which replaced the Gold Strike Inn), a grabbed a handful of matches on my way out. When I was placing them in my vehicle, I noticed that they were Gold Strike Inn matches and not Hacienda. So I went back inside and got some more. I made the comment to the Hotel clerk, "I guess you must have boxes and boxes of matches leftover?" She agreed.

I find this very ironic. The casino burns down, but the matches are saved!
