When studying European and early American monograms
(gambling chips), you'll find several "C's" looking
as if they were E, G, Q, S and O....and the "G's as
C's and S's. It's enough to blow your mind,
sometimes.

The monogram on the pieces below (Gran Cercle
Aix-les-Bains) looks like "SG" but it's actually "GC" with the "C" looing like a "G" and the "G" looking like an "S."
