We have the same here in Europe even with the Double zero layout.
It is easy to place bet like I love to do. A number and their neighbours left and right from the nr. With the wheel layout on velvet in a oval you can place for instance 3 chips on a nr and automaticly you have 1 chip on the nr and its neighbours. I like it a lot."

I like the flexibility of placing neighbor bets in the manner that you can on a European table layout too. Also, I placed several sectional bets Saturday, betting nine chips to cover half of the wheel, which pays off at 17-1 if any number in that half hits, i.e., it is like split betting one chip on 18 numbers. These options add a whole new dimension to the game for us that have grown up playing American roulette.
