Washington Card Rooms
In Response To: New Chip ()

Thanks for the post Carol, not an Indian casino patron myself but interested in WA. cardroom blackjack. Just started going to some nearby places beginning with the newly-opened Silver Dollar in Tacoma you gave us the heads-up on a couple of months ago. After playing in LV, Washington blackjack is umm, different. Decent rules but no one knows how to play! <g> It's like sitting down to a game with children. Washington patron is dealt an A-7. He's golden! He's got 18! Doesn't faze him that the dealer shows a 10. I have to convince the dealer that I do indeed wish to hit my A7 vs. 10 and with some head shaking all around, I get my card. What a hoot! Yes, the supply of chips is tight at these places. I bet reds but was chasing an obs 8-suit dollar chip around the Palace table one night. I'd buy some 1's and always just managed to get paid from the wrong rack or beat for change by the bettor next to me. All the time the dealer is wheedling players' white chips back by coloring up stacks. Finally got the little honey and with several 50 cent chips in my hand, I scooped up my chips and tipped the dealer 3 whites to take the heat off and headed for the cage. Never made it of course. Guess they'll be waiting for me next time!
