The image below shows both sides of a Palace Club $1 Christy & Jones chip.

In the image the chip on right side is an example of the "Dashboard" Gray, which results from a purple chip being exposed to too much sunlight...
One can see the edges of the purple side are starting to turn "gray", as well as some the purple on the "gray" side in the drilled area...
Also note that the edge inserts on both sides are the same color!!! The yellow didn't fade or change...

I found this little jewel at the last Crystal Park show...

I think this gives more support to Jim Perlowski's earlier comment - not to mention Joe Shaw's, about some of the "gray" chips that are popping up...
