Re: Casinos near Louisville?
In Response To: Casinos near Louisville? ()

Hi Josh,

Living in Louisville I've visited nearly all of the nearby riverboat casinos in southern Indiana. The closest is Caesars Indiana less than 1/2 hour away across the Ohio River in Harrison County. Casino Aztar in Evansville is about an hour and a half drive west on I64. Grand Victoria in Rising Sun is nearly 2 hours up I71 toward Cincinnati. I haven't been to Argosy which is near Cincy. The new Belterra was to have opened this week in Vevay, Indiana about halfway between Louisville and Cincy just over a hour drive from here but the boat was struck by a barge while being delivered up the river and the new opening date hasn't been announced as far as I know.

Caesars would probably be your "best bet" since it's closer and you would not have to spend three hours or more on the road to and from the other Southern Indiana casinos. Would be happy to meet up with you while you're here if you wish. I can possibly get you a meal comped there too. Caesars also has free admission and free valet parking. Let me know by e-mail.

Best regards,
