Question on Disposing of a Collection (long)

John B's post below got me thinking of the question of disposing of a collection. John says he is donating his collection to charity. My question is if one wants to allow either a charity or a family member to realize maximum value from a collection it seems to me one would have to leave "instructions" on how to dispose of it. Otherwise the person or charity you left the collection might have no clue how to turn the chips into money.
So I'm curious what some of the folks that have large collections of chips, some of you with 100,000 or more chips for example, figure will happen to their collections when they either die or decide to sell them. Or how about some of you with smaller numbers of chips? I'd bet there are a LOT of folks on the board that have collections that they've spent $10,000 or more or more for over the years. I assume you don't hope that someday a family member will end up selling your collection to someone who will pay them 10 or 20 percent of what you paid. Anyway, I'd be curious to hear folks thoughts. I guess one way to think of it is "When I'm gone, it won't be my worry." <g>
