Re: Cool set of Jetons--What are they?

Casinos Austria is known for many things...Including their special issue jetons and chips. Since 1970, Casinos Austria has commemorated big events by manufacturing jetons of silver, gold and plastic...and even diamond studded jetons. Their gambling pieces have both artistic and monetary value and have been collected by European chip collectors as well as Ameican collectors for the past 20-years. Their brochures (see my article; archives) are available in 4-color and are free of charge...and they also offer (via mail) all casino pieces at face (other than gold and silver). Twenty percent of the earnings are donated to children's charitable, cultural and athletic casuses (The International Year of the Child; 1979). The last well known artist that I know about who was commissioned by them was Friederich Hundertwasser who designed a 100 oS jeton with the first ever known flowing lunette (denomination). It is also the only jeton I know of being signed by the artist who designed it. Casinos Austria travels the world visiting major numismatic shows. These pieces are unknown to me.
