Re: Buying New Computer; Any Advice/Rec's?

In my opinion, it's much more important to have a local shop you trust and will help with any problems, Alan. The name on the computer means little. I have bought my last two systems from Lucky Computer (no name box, big name components!) and have been very happy with the local service. No 800 numbers and delays, just call the guy you know. Take it into the ship if you have to and many times they fix it while you wait. There are many local shops like this in every city. Give them a try. You will save some money as well!

Your spec list sounds fine to me. Recommend you get Windows 98 installed. It's very cheap when you buy a system.
