I am a dealer and proud of my affilation with CC>CC. I've sold chips to most of the people on this BB and have a record of sales I'm proud of.
Unfortunatly there are liars and cheats in our midst.
There are several tactics that these greedy people employ to take advantage of chip collectors.

1.Sell the chips as if they were rare and then dump the price.

2. Sell the chips as rare and then wholesale the rest to someone who dumps the price with a story.

3. Sell chips that arn't authenticated as rare chips, California chips that happen to have their name in common with a Nevada Club.

Avoid these rip offs by not buying a supposed rare chip that all of the sudden shows up with more then one or two examples available.

I know this isn't a full-proof remedy but perehaps the above examples will help collectors smell a rat before it gets your hard cash.

When I'm lucky enough to come upon a new find I've always tried to set a price that's fair based on the amount of chips found. I've had great luck with sales this way and made more friends then not.
