I take it then that you think the club's annual convention auction is destructive to the hobby in general.

And that the sale of club memorabilia and collectibles, both at the club table and throughout the year by mail, is destructive to the hobby in general.

And that the recent sale of the club shirts is destructive to the hobby in general.

You have stated your opinion. If you will point out specific factual considerations which support that opinion, I'd be happy to reevaluate my position in light of those considerations.

Apparently, you don't care for eBay. That's okay. And you seem to think there's something wrong with the club "competing" with other sellers (though, as I said before, the "competition" would be rather minor, in light of the 3000+ chip lots on eBay at any given time). Why would this be bad?

And what would be wrong with the additional exposure the club would receive among buyers who may not now even be aware that the club exists?
