Re: Bob Matthews
In Response To: Bob Matthews ()

Paul,
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Bob Matthews and I hope you will express my condolences to his wife and family. I have several roulette and illegal club chips in my collection that I acquired from Bob over the years. I believe I first met Bob in New Jersey at a Token and Medal Show in 1993 when I was a newbie in this great hobby. Bob was always very fair and helpful to everyone he dealt with and a true gentleman. A lot of us could do very well if we used Bob as a model in our dealings with other chippers and people in general. Bob always had a smile and a kind word and this made you feel good to just be around him. As a tribute to Bob, let's all try to be a little kinder and fairer in our approach to each other and eliminate some of the unecessary bickering and unkind statements which we are prone to spew out on this Board.
Life is too short, let's be a little more caring toward each other.
Sincerely, Your Friend - Jerry
