The $5000 chip that Stupak donated was a Horseshoe (downtown LV) chip of which he had a quantity. He wanted to cash tem in and Becky was balking. (Eventually, they were determined to be cashable.) Stupak donated the chip to Rev. Tom Grey, I think (a fervent anti-gambling minister who always testifies against gaming expansions, etc.). He did it as one of his many stunts, and to put some additional pressure on the Horseshoe to cash those chips. I generally like Stupak for his colorful antics, but this was not one of his better moments, IMO.
