Another Variety - Metal Inlay Collectors

Those chippers who collect the Paul-son metal inlay chips from the 1970's know there are tiny numbers on some of the inlays. Most think these
are dates of production. I note that TCR has in the description for the Stardust $25 chip "73&76". My example of this chip has only the numbers
"173" on it (see the scan below). Since there are separate TCR entries for the $5 chips with different dates (1 74 and 4 76), I'm wondering what
the $25 note means. Are there chips with 73 on one side and 76 on the other? Are there two differently numbered chips; if so shouldn't there be
two different entries in TCR? Comments from other Stardust and PMI collectors are welcome.

The Stardust numbering situation is one of those that cast some doubt on the premise that these are dates. Would there really have been a year
or more between production of chips of different denominations of the same series? Are there really more dated chips out there than have been
cataloged so far?

Many questions. Few answers...
