The Diamond Club in New York has shut down for good. Below is a post from the owners that was made on the poker newsgroup last night. Andy - Las Vegas

"In round 1 of the NY court system The Diamond Club lost. Unfortunately, round 2
takes 8 months. Instead of paying 8 months rent, and stress of a long legal
battle the Diamond Club will shut down. This was a CIVIL case, not criminal, so there is no "penalty".

As far as the Bad Beat Jackpot money is concerned the government has it. They
confiscated over $53,000.00.

The Hanley's will deeply miss all of our friends who made the Diamond Club the
most fun and interesting place to play poker and socialize.
