I don't know much about the L mold Crystal Club chips. I agree L molds in Texas might be a little scarce.
BUT - not impossible.
Playboy in England had a small crown. That is a further stretch than L mold in Texas, IMO.

I doubt that we will ever know the true distribution of the molds, who distributed them, and what years who distributed what until we finally get a look at that little old rollidex with Burts records in it.

Example: I have IDed hub chips from Mason files and found the same chip in Small key. Did Mason also sell the small key variety? Why would an operator reorder from a different distributor in a different city, when Mason was willing to go to great lenghts to protect their buyers?

The finding of the Taylor records will be a real BIG help to us, but the Burt records are the answer at the end of the tunnel. They will tell us what distributor bought what color chip with what color inserts in what month and year.
