At least the USPS will make good if any numismatic material was insured. In an article in Numismatic News regarding shipping insurance, they made a point in telling the readers that the USPS is the only carrier who insures numismatic material. After reading the article I checked with FedEx and a few other carriers, and each one said numismatics and cash are not covered -- except FedEx, their max was $50 at the time (approx. 2-years-ago).
