Bob,

Back in the mid-80's I used to design and cast custom jewelry (lost wax process) as a hobby. I would buy a product that would literally dissolve Epoxy. It was a liquid especially made for that purpose....to dissolve old Epoxy inlays from damaged and scrap jewelry. I would just soak the piece and the Epoxy would melt away.

If you are serious about removing the chips...(AND IF this product will work on lucite..) You could carefully cut away as much of the lucite as possible with a dremel blade and then use the liquid to melt away the lucite. Of course, you'd want to experiment with some cheap, sacrificial chips first to determine if the liquid would damage the chips.
