Re: PACKING - This my last word!

Regarding the shipment of fragile chips:

Will your package pass the concrete floor test? Try this - pack your chips (try some cheap ones) and them slam the sucker into a concrete floor and see the rsults. Happy?

NEVER send chips loose, even in a corrugated box! (One turkey sent me two $100 chips loose in a business size envelope, uninsured. The chips defied astrolomical odds and arrived "safely," albeit somewhat nicked up.) The very cheapest and, arguably the least safe, would be to put several chips, heavily wrapped within cardboard, with your return address, in a "bubble pack." The Jiffy Bag TM is much better. Remember, small packages can be traumatized and a bubble pack offers very little protection. Why not buy some small boxes and heavily pack them? I'll be happy to share further free tips at the convention. I speak from the experience of having shipped perhaps 10,000+ packages over the years and never having had a complaint, except "You overpacked these!"
