In the club tourney, its every man and woman for themselves. ....and it is fun! Andy and I did start out at the same table last year with the eventual winner. If you and I end up at the same table, it doesn't mean that we can't support each other to move ahead. It does mean that we'd be in competition with each other. You can't legally show me your cards unless you show everybody your cards. That's poker.

....if you'd like to play some live poker sitting next to me before the tourney just for practice, a cheap game like 1-4 Hold'em, I'm up for it. It isn't frowned-upon when you ask for advice AFTER a hand has been played. You should feel free to ask anyone, throw the question to the entire table, "what should I have done?" You won't always get the best advice, but poker players as a group are willing to give a little advice, even during a game they are playing in. Poker players as a group can be a very strange mix of people. Exhibit A: Hughes, Trimble and me!!!!!!

Andy was suggesting where I might find a good higher limit game during the convention to get my feet wet at a game with set limits and a thousand dollar buy-in. This situation is where I'd like my future wife sitting behind me giving me the good luck! <G>
