I have absolutely no reason to doubt all the experts opinion as to the location of the Fortune Club as I am sure this club existed before I arrived in the Los Angeles area (circa 1965) when there were only 6 card clubs, all of which were located in Gardena.

I have no knowledge in which to base my opinion, but I expect this club, if it did exist in Gardena, must have been operating either during the war years or immediately thereafter.

According to guide which I have (written by a William O'Brien of San Diego) he also has the Fortune Club listed as in Gardena and uses only the initials on the chips.
