I am taking advantage of Greg Susong's Chipboard.com to post what I will call the "Bob Gabel Chipboard.com Benefit Auction #1".

I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting Bob in person, but I've enjoyed reading his earlier posts prior to the announcment of his illness. You just gotta love a guy who would wear a hat like that in public <<ggg>>>. I know that someday I will see Bob and shake his hand and talk chips. I hope and pray that I get that opportunity NEXT year at the CCGTCC Convention.

I have selected a few chips from my small collection and am listing them at AUCTION on Chipboard.com beginning today.

ITEMS FOR AUCTION #1 INCLUDE....

A. An IVORY Poker Chip in Excellent Condition. No cracks or splits. I've been told that this "Large Star" pattern is desirable and is NOT common. This Ivory is UNLISTED in Dale Seymore's "Antique Gambling Chips". In fact, there is only one (1) other Large Star listed and it has a Value Rating of "P" - $150-$199.

B. A couple of foreign chips. A 5 from the Marilyn Monroe Casino in Moscow, Russian and a 5ff from the Aviation Club in paris.

C. The full STACKING set of 2000 "Millinum" chips from Grand Casino Coushatta. Has a edge puzzle as shown. NearMint Condition / Face Value of $45.

D. A full set of Roulette chips from Table A at Santa Ana Casino near Albuquerque.

So, here are the guidelines of what I am doing....

1. The "Bob Gabel Chipboard.com Benefit Auction #1" begins immediately when I post this item on the board.

2. The Auction ends this Saturday night (5-20-00) at midnight/Chipboard time.

3. Bidding is open ONLY to CCGTCC members. Please use your CCGTCC number when posting your bid.

4. Bids are accepted ONLY by publically posting your bid on the Chipboard.com. Sorry, No email or private bids accepted. No sales outside of this auction.

5. I, the seller will pay ALL postage and insurance to deliver the chips to the winning bidder.

6. The TOTAL amount of the winning bid will be given to Bob Gabel and his family. GREG SUSONG has agreed to act as "escrow agent" for this. The winning bidder will send his or her check directly to Greg for forwarding on to the Gabels.

7. This auction is NOT an advertisment for any chips I have in my small collection nor is it self-promotion. NONE of these chips are for sale by me outside of this auction. PLEASE don't email or ask.

8. To help reduce confusion, please place your bid within the thread started by this posting announcment. It will help us keep track of the bid progression.
Please place the $ amount you are bidding in the "SUBJECT" line of your posting.

9. SNIPING is allowed and ENCOURAGED!!
