David, I don't know who the original owner of the Sunrise was, but was told he spent $40 million on the place before getting turned down for a gaming license.

I bought my set of four from a Chipco rep for $20. At that time he didn't mention anything about the existence of the $500 chip, so Gene is right about it being the tough chip in the set. The Chipco rep also said that some of the chips would be used here in Colorado at a dealers school.
