Impressions of Las Vegas

With the exception of "John" at the Venetian all the people I approached and talked to were very pleasant and courteous. John at the Venetian was very hard on me. He refused to sell me the $1 chip from the roulette table which was dead anyway. He send me to the cage cashier and she had only 17 $1 chips. I went back to the dead game I wanted to buy $3 only. This is what transpired. John "I can not sell you anything from this table not even for $3.00 or 3 chips" I told him do I have to call the shift manager to buy three chips. After a heated argument on the logic of the 3 chips John finally told the dealer "Give it to him" in a voice so sarcastic and offensive. So I told him "John you should be commended by your management for making a "win" without a chance of losing to me". Then John said "Yes we need the money". I said 'Yes to pay for your salary and rent". "You just don't want to request a "fill" and you just want to get paid for doing nothing". I got the 3 chips anyway.

John is an exception. Generally I am impressed by the politeness and courtesy of all the workers at the cage cashier and in table games who went beyond the ordinary to assist me in getting the brand new and mint chips.

I am impressed of Las Vegas and I concur with Gene Trimble when he said that he "was not impressed" of Atlantic City. I should know because I work here for the last 18 years.

I fell in love with Las Vegas. I love you guys and dolls.
