unless you are renting a car. But even then, I'd stay on the strip. I like to eat and have a few drinks and don't want to have to drive anywere in that town after even a single cocktail. I get good rates from even some mid strip hotels. Do some investigating; contact them through the various LV services. I stay at Harrahs single at $49 weekday; the Imperial Palace is less; the others more. The locals will give you good advice. If you stay off the Strip say at the Orleans--good rates--there is good bus service to the center strip; same with Sam's Town and probably others. Enjoy; wish you could be there when the "reaaaaaly big shew opens" and could buy some chips from me.
