I usually take a bit more reserved approach to Craps (Unless of course the table is HOT).
I'll make a line bet, back it with full odds.
(Did I mention that if I'm on a nickel table or higher; i.e. $5 and up - then I'll also make a C&E bet to cover the line &/or Come bets...)
Then make a come bet. Once that number is set, I'll back it with full odds. Depending on the shooter, I'll make a second come bet (with odds). If the shooter is throwing a lot of numbers, then I'll make some additional come bets. If they aren't then I'll back off and only do a line bet and/or a single come bet.

Now if my wife is the shooter, once she establishes a point, I'll buy the 6 & 8 (if it is not set of course) - as she has a tendency to throw a lot of 6's & 8's!!! More than the average person...
Note: Buying the 6 & 8 is a good way to get some of those fractionals!!!
